Being a driving game fan since I was five years old, I do have a wheel – specifically a Logitech G25 – it has never had an issue running correctly on a game. There’s no different series of NASCAR, such as minor leagues, trucks or modified; there’s no real team management, respect, rivals, friends, skill points, share draft, prestige points or challenge scenario mode… in other words, nothing from NASCAR games released ten years ago! Going back to Career mode, you quickly realize that it’s essentially a NASCAR playlist, you collect sponsors that give you money and you upgrade a few parts, but that’s it. The game is laughable in just about every other area, this is the one thing it has left. Handling feels wooden and unresponsive – which is saying something being that this is a NASCAR game after all – but it’s not a big deal because once you figure out the racing line, it’s a cakewalk to pass other drivers unless you crank up the difficulty. Yuck, this is painful because the super aggressive A.I which will spin you in every corner and the laggy multiplayer simply destroy this game, which on its foundation is a decent game, and the unlimited replay feature, which seems like a lazy way of fixing the A.I problem, also doesn't work very well, because you need a lot of self control to not use it after every positon you lost.
